Control 2 Macs with 1 MIDI controller??

Hey all,

Trying to solve this one; will have to use 2 Macs for our next project (too many projectors at the same time!), and am wondering how to trigger both instances of MadMapper with one MIDI controller (Novation Zero SL MKII).
Thought of trying a Y-cable USB, but seems the signal is only transmitted by one of the USB connectors (the other is for powering external drives and so).

Also read about ipMIDI, but not sure how it will work over wifi, and the application is limited to 60min use (reboot needed after that).

Any hints? Thanks in advance

Hello,

there a different Solutions to solve this Problem:

http://www.iconnectivity.com/products/m ... tMIDI2plus
http://www.iconnectivity.com/products/m ... tMIDI4plus
https://www.bome.com/products/bomebox

My Personal Favorite is the Bomebox…the Swiss Tool of Midi ;-)

Hi,

Thanks! Was thinking more of a solution without hardware (that's when ipMIDI came into consideration), and preferably using a protocol via wifi; do you know any solution like this?
Installed ipMIDI a couple of days ago, but for some reason couldn't make it work so far (Audio MIDI Setup doesn't recognise the virtual interface).

Cheers
