    Lock output positions in presets?

    by jamie.g » Mon Jun 26, 2017 1:45 am

Is there a way to lock output positions so they dont change from preset to preset?

I would love to be able to set outputs positions in preset 1 and then have them not change from preset to preset is this possible?

This would allow me to fix any misalignment in projection or surface area in preset one and have it correct all of my presets that follow on.

I wonder if now with new versions (with scenes and cues features) is possible?...I try it but I didn't found a way to do that, I am not expert of course, but did someone do something similar?

Yes, while in “Edit Cues” mode and while a cue slot and a surface are selected, click the “output geometry” button on the surface. It will save the surface’s current output position into the cue (or cues, multiple, if editing multiple cues at once). Take a look at the cues docs for some examples.

I’d recommend using cues rather than scenes, so that you can store only what you need rather than store all settings.
