touchOSC - OSCulator to MadMapper preset files

I made a touchOSC interface for MadMapper and I would like to share it here.

This preset is made for setting-up your mapping and/or fine-tune your quads. It enables you to walk around with your iPad to see if your mapping is sitting tight on your object or surface. If needed you can remotely do the adjustments instead of walking back and forth or shout to some technician or colleague during sound checks while your laptop sits at the FOH.

!! To use these preset files you will need the following software: touchOSC and OSCulator !!

The interface:
- x-y mouse interface + left mouse button
- up, down, left, right cursors buttons

- show/hide info
- show/hide testcard
- show/hide cursor
- save project button

Enjoy and have fun!

I finally got around to trying this out, but just on my desktop and not in the field. Very nice work on the functionality. I modified the UI a bit to suite my tastes. Will provide an update once I get to try it out on a project.

Wait... how did you map osc to things in madmapper? never seen the midi learn option. I would love to midi map or osc map the presets.

Remind me again, why do I need Osculator for this? (Since TouchOSC can send both OSC and MIDI).

No I don't but now I think I get why Osculator is needed it this case - it's to get mouse control.

That' was my thought, too. I didn't know if you know a workaround.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if this works with the recent versions of MadMapper? (from 2.2.6 to the latest one)
Just to be sure before I buy the TouchOSC & OSCulator.
Thanks

Since 1.6 you have MIDI/OSC... controls and since we just added new ones, and kept compability, so yes it works with latest versions.
Thanks for sharing !

Hi,
Thanks for your fast answer.
Is there any other option of controlling MadMapper remotely? Also seen the Madmapper iPad Airdisplay App (by VJ Granda), but not sure if mirroring the display is the right choice to control and setup MadMapper via iPad.

Your opinion and advises are appreciated and well considered, thanks for your time

Yes you can control a lot of parameters remotely (through MIDI / OSC / DMX ...) With TouchOSC for instance you can create your control interface, but you will not be able to move surface handles precisely or edit a mask for instance. For editing setup remotely, except using the solution specified above, you can use Apple screen sharing, TeamViewer or another remote desktop solution.
