Connecting x6 projectors to Mac Mini

I have been using my 2013 MacBook Pro Retina to connect x6 projectors (1024 x 768) using x2 Matrox TripleHead2Go units for a few projects now. It is really great to be able to interface with so many projectors so easily. However...

I tried this on a Mac Mini. It is brand new, top of the line, with the coveted x2 thunderbolt ports. I have been unsuccessful at getting x2 Matrox units to interface with it successfully. The Matrox rep said that this is unsupported, even though it works on my laptop...

My questions to the community are:

1) Have you ever been able to run x6 projectors out of a Mac Mini? If so, how?

2) Are there other pieces of hardware that make using 4+ screens easier? If so, what can you suggest?

3) Aside from using multiple computers, what is the MadMapper teams' favorite way to interface with 4+ projectors?

Thanks for ay tips!

You can use a DATAPATH instead of a triple head for 4 outputs. It is much more expensive tho'.
For 4 outputs, you can also use 2 Zotac - they are quite cheap.
For 6 outputs, I'd recommend a Mac Pro

Thanks for the advice.

After much searching I feel that a Mac Pro, now with 6 Thunderbolt ports, is the only way to make this happen reliably.

The Zotac Mini DisplayPort to double hdmi connectors are out of stock. I've got the information that there are problems with the Licensing.
