I agree, the difference becomes especially noticeable in dark content. Having a built-in MadMapper adjustment for balancing the black level outside softedge zones would make the result much more consistent.As we all know, in Softedge areas the blacklevel of overlapping projectors add up and give some gray on black scenes. To egalize this, the blacklevel in the non-softedge areas could get liftet to match the added blacklevel more. For now, I see no easy way to construct something like this in madmapper (correct me if I'm wrong Drift Hunters, the ugly solution could be to add some 3% opacity fethered white quad to these areas, but this impacts also the brighter parts of the image), but it could be easily implemented since the softedge areas are defined. Maybe it could also be done with some FX shaders?
