    create package

    by Teunkneus » Mon Apr 16, 2018 10:56 am

Maybe I'm just lazy, but would be great of you could package a madmapper project.

Normally I make a mapping on scale with a 3D print on a different Mac of PC and off course some videos get the cut or not.
After this I need to transfer everything to the pc or mac that's on location, but the folders get cluttered with videos and pictures of testing(could lead up to 40 files or more).
It would be great if you could do a package just like with Adobe, and push a button and it generates a folder with all images/videos and the project.

Just a wish I do understand it is not a simple feature, and curious if other people would like this.

    +1

I know this feature from qLab and SCS. Nice to have because you get rid of unused material and data.

note: to get rid of unuesed materials and such, there's an option in the project menu.

A "Collect Files" action like it exists in Millumin would be a nice addition to Mad Mapper.

It will ask the user if he wants to copy or move the files, and put all of these in a folder, and sub-folders (materials / movies / images / ISF, etc…)

    maybe for v4 ?

in v4 you'll be able to use custom workspaces,
so that''s a good starting point, if you put your movies there.

Export package is good, but won't happen for v4 tho'
