    Media Triggers/behaviours

    by bLackburst » Mon May 07, 2018 6:02 am

As MM is becoming more of a one-stop-shop in term of serving media, I'd like to see MM have some better functionality for scripted/sequenced shows rather than VJ-focused looping. For example, on movie end:
    -Next
    -Jump to
    -Loop
    -black
This way you could arrange movie tiles into a poor-man's timeline of sorts.

I also noticed a quirk that pause play-mode has. If you trigger it a second time it stays at the end, requiring you to trigger a different file then back to that one for it to reset the frame counter.

In/Out point trimming with the Loop parameter is difficult for longer movies due to the small size of the slider. Perhaps a pop-out dialog to set movie behaviours, in/outs etc? Or better yet make the whole side panel resizable.
We also need the ability to select multiple clips at once to change things like playmode etc. especially as the default is loop.

    Thanks.

    We're working on it.
    Stay tuned.

    Great.
Looking at MM 3.5, the fine control of movie loop points is there, but the preview doesn't show you the frame you're adjusting. When adjusting the loop points the preview needs to be a paused frame of the start/finish that you're adjusting. And it's still tiny, it'd be great if you could pop this out to make these critical adjustments.
