Option to play loop from beginning when a scene or cue is selected

I did a quick search but could not find a similar request.
Sometimes I have a clip that I want to play in full, from the beginning, and not loop. But when I make a scene using such a clip, the playing seems to begin immediately upon launching the project; in other words, before I select the scene. Sometimes the clip has already finished playing and stopped by the time I select the scene. Sometimes the playing somewhere in the middle when I select the scene. Is there not a way to make a clip start playing from the beginning as soon as a scene or cue is selected?
