Advanced XY module for Moving Head fixtures

I'm currently experimenting with various ways to control Moving Head fixtures with madmapper. I'm using 2 Oscillator Banks for the X and Y of 8 fixtures. Each output of the bank links to a Control Combiner input 1. 16 Control combiners in total 8 for X, 8 for Y. Input 2 of each combiner is an inverted value of input 1. The output of each combiner is linked to a fixture's X and Y axis. The range control of each combiner is used to trim the travel range of the moving head. Controlling the Oscillator Banks speed, phase, and offset allows for equal motion or chasing motion. Setting the individual combiners to Input 1 or 2, allows for normal or inverted motion. Setting speed to zero and adjusting phase allows for slider motion control for X or Y. I've also built a TouchOsc interface for control and visual feedback.

As this seems like a decent control thru madmapper, it would be beneficial to create this setup as a single module. Also could be an opportunity for more advanced expressions for motion.

Hi, this is very cool!!

I am really struggling to get started with controlling moving head lights using the madmapper demo.

There are no moving head fixture profiles built-in, so I need to create one.

The thing I am keen to try is pixel mapping around 16 moving head lights using a mad mapper and I'm also asking myself how I'm going to control their movement.

Are you still using this module you have created? Would you be up for sending it to me so I could try it out as well?

Have you controlled moving head lights at any live shows using mad mapper?
