output resolution for custom LED display

    by andrew » Sat Jun 06, 2009 2:00 am

I am going to use Modul8 with my macbook pro at a show where they will have a 9'tall by 20'(2.7432 x 6.096 meters) wide LED screen --- They will stretch my 1024 X 764 output horizontally to fit--- How do I set up my projects to best use this resolution and aspect ratio? :?: Thanks-ANDREW

you could be really clever and stretch your layers the opposite way.
make a grid then put it up on screen when you get there.

stretch it vertically until the squares of the grid look square.
    then just duplicate that layer.

otherwise, you could just go with the flow and have a stretchy set.

THANKS for this---and I definitely do not want to be stretchy- however my hope was to be able to work in a preview window that is not distorted (9 x 20 aspect) then output 1080 x 786 squashed horizontally, where the processor in he input of the display would stretch back---To clarify, I want it all--- all of the 1080x786 res, not distorted, working in non- distorted compositions in Modul8. Am I asking too much here?
    Thanks for any more ideas!!!
