VJ friends,

I am looking for someone who bought a cheap scan converter (around 50-100€) and experiencing good results (converting VGA to composite or Svideo -> to input a V4).

I am planning on buying some that you could find on ebay, unless many of you tell me it is just crap.

If you have such a cheap device functionning well, please let me know the product type and where you bought it !

PAL-compatible products and bought within Europe prefered !

I've got one right here. Works decently. Has a VGA in and a s-video a composite an rgb and a vga out.
it's usb powered. I have experienced a bit of trouble that leads me to suspect that it sometimes does not have enough power from the macbook pro usb. That might be solved with a powered usb hub?
Its bought in a store in Denmark. I've seen the same case under other names. cost me around 80 $
