Is this the time to switch to Macbook pro? Money is a factor so for now i can afford the Macbook pro 13” 2.53Ghz with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics 256 MB sheared with main memory. this could be also an upgrade from a vj application like visual jockey.

will it run Modul8 with no problems? will it run other applications like AE- PS cs4 with no problems?

It will run everything without too much problems (if any). BUT everything will run better and faster on a heavier MBP. Save up a couple of months more and get yourself a 15" MBP with 512mb dedicated Graphic Card and at least 4gigs ram.
Also keep in mind that a 13" display will be quite small for vj purposes.

Don't go cheap on your first Macbook Pro... It's better to wait a month more and don't regret it than to regret it after a month.
