    Midi for beginners......

    by tdog » Fri Apr 02, 2010 5:40 pm

Is this right.......I can map a fader on my midi controller to multiple parameters in Modul8, and it will only effect the parameter in the currently selected module or window...?

    tdog.
    By any means necessary....

    No.
Check out the manual and the differences between MIDI mapping modes - focus-layer set etc

hi guys, new to this forum. I have been struggling to midi map Modul8 with a second hand uc33e (my first ever controller).

I notice you can set different parameters in 3 sections, focus, layer set and layer set + position. When the midi mapping function is not in play, how do i switch between these options? If i want to change the focus and then jump over to the layer settings?

Also can't seem to set multiple maps/pages and switch between them.

    Thanks for any help here

"When the midi mapping function is not in play, how do i switch between these options? If i want to change the focus and then jump over to the layer settings? "

'focus', 'layerset', 'layerset + position' are three modes of mapping your midi. Three methods if you will So it only applies to midi. So you can't switch between them in a live situation they only apply to the way you make your mapping. Does that make sense?

"Also can't seem to set multiple maps/pages and switch between them. "

You can export your midi mapping and and import another one. That's the only way. Or you can set in the preferences of Modul8 that each project file should use it's own midi map.
