    by t-xis » Fri Sep 03, 2010 8:40 pm

hey there, i´m looking for a simple, small solution to switch from one laptop (vga out) to the other backup laptop (vga out). i don´t want to use it for mixing. from the switcher i want to plug into my triplehead2go (vga).
    is there any?

I have a kramer vga switcher that will switch between two macs ( that are preset to the same triple head output)
you get a slight drop in signal that makes some projectors show a blue no signal for a short time - but not mine.

If you buy one do not go for the cheapest and read makers reputation. I have great suspicion towards Kramer. Every rental/installation company I deal with hate these.

I got Digitus and am happy with it.
But I may be mistaking about Kramer.

I got a Kramer but I bought the wrong model. It was supposed to keep sync (no blue screen) as Deepvisual said but the problem with the model I've got was that it is not designed to be used the way I thought. The switch is in between the two VGA inputs so you can't really reach it when 2 cables are plugged in. Kramer has several models that are better suited than mine. So whatever you do, don't get the Kramer VP-211K.
