how many videos can u store?

    by wewearbuildings » Wed Sep 07, 2005 10:12 pm

hello, I'm new with this impressive VJing software.
How many videos/bitmaps can u store in the media section of Modul8? it seems that u only can load 80 videos... but I use to play more than 100 usually in my performances. So, how can I put more stuff during a live act without stopping the program output?
    thx in advance, Javier

Currently, you can only store 80 videos. If you need more video you have to swap them in the media bank. You can expect improvements for the next release (2.5) in this area.

Since you dont need to get out of fullscreen when deleting or adding media, you can use as many as you want.

Sometimes, I go through 2 or 3 sets of 80 loops in a session ;)

but loading media hogs memory and you'll get a major performance hit as the new media loads in. Personally I wouldn't mind if the "delete" key actually worked to delete layers or media from the media bank depending on whats selected....
