Hi all,
I got some issues using v3, so I want to share with all of you if you have the same problems and somebody know ways to solve them. Also can be a post for more users to explain some problems with this version.

- Layer with video in AVFOUNDATION mode, applied some pixel FX like Contrast and the preview window started flickering or layer invisible
- PNG with SCREEN blending mode, doesn't recognize the transparency. I solved the problem using JPG.

Anybody had this issues? Anybody to solve this?

- When I change from scene 2 to scene 1
A layer that I had in scene 1 with a pixel fx and video in Avfoundation, the layer becames invisibe, to solve it I need to put it in ffmpeg mode and again in avfoundation mode to make work the pixel effect

Yesterday I used v3 with my MacBook Pro and noticed a couple of bugs.

First the specifications:

MacBook Pro
13-inch 2017
2,5 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB RAM
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640
mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6

Software
Modul8 outputs to Syphon and in the software Vuo (https://vuo.org/) I fetch the Syphon signal apply a mask, add a logo and then I output it to the projector via VGA cable.

I was using mostly PhotoJPG videos and a couple of PNGs (without Alpha transparency)
Size of the loops ranged from 10 to 500 MB.


Bug #1: Strange glitches over the interface
If I remember correctly these glitches also moved when I moved the interface window. So they were kind of "glued" to the position they had on the interface window.
Resolved through: Restart of Modul8




Bug #2: Name of the currently selected video loop disappeared from the individual layer.
Here you can see the following:
- Preview mode "Group Inv"
- Currently active Group: Group A
- In Group B there is only one selected loop: "468613818"
- Pixel FX "Saturation" and "Contrast"
- The name of the selected loop is not shown in the layers
Resolved through: Restart of Modul8



Bug #3: The still image PNGs where not played and showed only as black still image.
Even totally removing them from the media library and re-adding them did not solve the problem.
Resolved through: Restart of Modul8


Bug #4: Crash of Modul8 when I change something in Vuo
Now it gets a bit tricky but let's try it:
In Vuo I apply not only a mask but I also overlay a logo.
When I change something in the Vuo composition (e.g. connect or disconnect cables) Modul8 sometimes completely crashes.


Bug #5: Saturation "B&W" does not get applied
I applied "Saturation" and "Contrast" to this layer and suddenly the saturation knob was completely ignored.



Bonus behaviour I noticed (Not sure if it is a bug):
If I load a lots of new video loops into the media library the live video signal completely freezes for a couple of seconds.



As far as I remember, none of the above bugs appeared in V2.


I don't know if this posting is the right place to post this bugs, so just let me know if I should post/report them elsewhere.

Please download and try the Beta version from Modul8 3.1 that fixes several of the reported problems.
The beta build is available on Yourspace.
