    Midi connection to Computer

    by Alma » Tue Aug 15, 2006 10:26 pm

    Hi Guys and Girls

So I'm going to use the new Acoustic Drum Triggers (RT-10K/S/T) to trigger video from drums.
I will connect them to a ROLAND TMC-6 TRIGGER MIDI CONVERTER..
And now for the big dumb question - How do I connect the TMC-6 to my computer and to the modul8????????
I've never used a midi before so please, please, please try to explain so I will understand..
    What kind of cable?
    I'm using a MAC Lap TOP G4 1.5 ghz.
    It runs the modul8 great.
Will it be harder with the midi?
    THANK YOU!!!

you need a midi interface (midi <-> usb), m-audio has some good ones! then it's really easy to configure modul8

    Greetings,

I have a M-audio UNO http://www.zzounds.com/item--MDOUNO that works just fine with all my apps that use MIDI, including M8. Using a device like this should have no noticeable impact on your computer's performance.

    Cheers,
    Justin
