    Using masks

    by vjfj » Tue Nov 07, 2006 2:33 pm

hopefully someone can lend me a hand - i am planning to project onto a star shaped surface and have a mask graphic that fits the exact dimension of the surface. the settings i have tried in 2.5 b8 have *exclusion* mode which works great for making a black area transparent however the edges which are in a different color are visible in the output.

i want to be able to set up the mask so that the edges - i.e. where no screen is and where the beamer would project past the screen - should be black while the visible area within which the clips will play is transparent.

how can i do this? none of the modes in the mask module seems to fit what i need.

thx in advance for any help
