is support for USB camcorders going to be added?

unfortunately it seems like the world is phasing out FW in favor of USB 2

same as for your clips. If your camera is recognised by quickime it works... Maybe you can find some special drivers or use iChatUSBCam

    no camera found

    by VJFranzK » Sun Feb 11, 2007 10:36 am

tried iChatUSB and Macam, which I found out about elsewhere on forum.

    "no camera found."

I think the problem is that this is a USB "camcorder", rather than a "webcam"
it's a JVC Everio, records to a mini hard drive instead of tape.
I recieved it as a (very generous!) gift,

usually, when connected by usb, it goes into "mass storage mode" which is how
    the files are dumped.

So, I guess I have to wait until Quicktime is updated to implement this...
