rendering problems with painter module

hello all. when i want to render a composition made with the logical recording option, the content in the painter module is emptied, i.e. the drawings made in the painter module are somehow erased. as soon as the rendering process starts, the layers containing the painter module display and 'empty layer message'. as a result, the rendered movie doesn't contain any of the painter graphics. any ideas on how to solve this?

i'm using a lot of very simple vector-style elements in my work, the painter module is ideal for this, as it doesn't require me to load movies - i just draw whatever i need into a layer. however, i do need to export my work for further editing, so a solution would be appreciated.

otherwise, m8 rocks. really.

thx

i have the same problem. on top of it, after trying to render the image it remains visible in the painter pane but disappears from the preview pane....

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as I've just come up against it also.
Output from the Painter module just doesn't record out of M8 via logical record :(

Crying here Boris - boo hoo - it would have been great and magic if it did :)
If there is a fix a workaround or a bodge available for the Beta that would be magic also.

Best.

Hello world (?),

Good day.
