    isight compression

    by momo3010 » Mon May 21, 2007 11:52 am

Just playing around with my isght using to capture live painting. Somehow the output is quite niosy - especially when using contrast to make the drawn lines look more black.

What compression settings are recommended to use isight in modul8? (codec?)

I think the noise from the isight is coming from the isight not from the codec... the quality of the isight is fine if you have a lot of light... if you're inside with sun outside and no lights around you, it's already bad...

I got recently an old Panasonic F10 for live input. I am using Dazzle firewire box to get analog signal to Powerbook. There is some latency, but not too bad. And the picture is great.
