Layer sub groups

Hi,
there is a possibility to group some medias in one layer ?
I mean it could be very nice to be able to group layers in one and place it on a unique layer.
I guess there is not now a fonction in Modul8 2.5.4 to do that.
Why?
Because I'm about to use 6 screens outputs and it could be very nice to play 6 médias on 6 screens without use 6 layers or create a movie with a huge size : 6144/768 px...
If I place 6 movies on 6 layers = I have only 8 possibilities (with all change easy)
If I place 6 movies on 1 layer = I have 80 possibilities
How coding time could be take to do that? Sure will be not easy
But, you know we love your product !
PS: ANOTHER OPTION IS TO GIVE MORE RANGE VALUE FOR "ctrl_master_layerSetGroupA or B" There Is a possibility to do that ??

That would be cool to have sub-layers. Indeed.
It would be even better to have parent child hierarchies. Would not be so interesting for the sake of making 3d models... that would be a bit over ambitious but in the realm of exploring the 2 1/2D thing in real time would be a lot of fun.
Very important issue that should be resoved.

That's an option that would give us thousands of possibilities to enhance our creativity.
So the garagecube team should answer this question that triggers lots of people.
If anybody knows maybe how to shows 2 or more layer set together and post it here i will be so gratefull for that.
Thanks.

As exciting as this may sound I find it superfluous. It sounds like trying to turn md8 into AE and as it's been said on a similar thread, what computer have you guys got that consider this to be a viable option for live use?

That is BS. Sounds like copied from presidents speech.

Who are these lots of people? Not me for sure.

Get two macs and mix outputs with hardware mixer.
Could you post some kind of explanation why you need more than 10 layers or better yet a video of your work. So we can take you seriously.

Being from the 'team' I have to be the 'good cop' / 'bad cop' now and then.

Lets not be too rash and leave out the spicey lingo.
I think more layers would be useful, within reason, and as long as the hardware can handle it.There IS a lot of potential in multiple layers providing one optimizes their compositions, using just still images combined with the animation FX.
The first problem that would arise is when people would start to want to add full HD footage to every layer that they create.
The second, and more important issue is the interface for endless amounts of layers. Would we be looking at 10 layers with each sub layer containing an additional 10 layers, and so on?
These and other questions are what we are asking ourselves as we move forward with our plans. This is going to be a very big step and we are not going to take it lightly.

the thing that drives me mad is the lack of a video tap.
having to trigger the same clip 3 times which stays in sync when it feels like it, means I can't use M8 for pro multiscreen work.
being able to have the same video source appear more than once on the screen would be a godsend and can't be that difficult as it works fine in the other VJ app..

@Gary:
- About other VJ applications: Name names. Other people do. This way we can know who and maybe figure out how they do it. Thus far this problem has been pointed out as a QuickTime issue.
- I am guessing that you have odd positioning of each layer because the short alternative would be to use the matrix function. Same layer source just multiplied.

damn - the matrix - I can't believe I never thought of that..
I meant vdmx of course....

@Gary: Always glad to be of service in my own little way(s).

Here is a link of what i tried to do:
http://www.string-net.com/cubos_interactivos/
I wanted to output different layers in some sides of each cube.
