    beamer output problem

    by ram0n » Tue Jul 31, 2007 10:52 pm

    hi
today i used my powerbook in combination with a beamer to beam my movies on a wall.
The beamer was set to a resolution of 800x600 (i used the display settings on my powerbook to do so)

The beaming goes ok. But the movie is not the fll screen of the beamer.
Zooming the movie doesnt solve the problem.

I took a picture of the screen so you can see the problem but id ont know how to upload a picture on the forum.

DOes anybody know how i can solve this problem?

    greets
    ramon

Try setting the beamer resolution to 1024x768

setting the beamer resolution to 1024x768 didnt do it.

The out to overscan + a different setting on the display itself did the trick!

    thanks guys
btw in waht resolutions do you work? I prfer 800x600 ..

    please let me know

and again thanks for solving my problem

800x600 for me, then it depends your need... sometimes it's not enough if you have very precise graphics

the best is usually to beam in the native resolution of you beamer, so that each pixel fits its place.

So, do all agree that while your clips resolution inside M8 might be all 320 x 240 or 640 x 480, there is no performance hit by having one's beamers at 800 x 600 or higher? I've always tried to project at 640 x 480... but I'm not sure why anymore...

for me, the top of the top is to have everything in the same resolution (clip, graphic card and beamer). But if your clips are 640x480, no need to have a higher resolution indeed...my advice

Thanks for the insight - my problem, if it is one, is I'm going to use a TH2Go with my MBP 2.33 and it seems that the unit will only project at 2400 x 600 or, obviously, 3 x 800 x 600.That's why I'm concerned about every pixel playing happy with each other...

so, ideally, the best would be to have à 2400x600 pixels clip!(if your mac can play it without any pb) or 3 800x600 clips with 3 800x600 beamers. If your clips are smaller, you'll lose quality, but by experience, if you use a HD clip (1920x1080), the resolution for 3 beamers will be very good. Hope it helps you a bit.
