    Help! Evolution X-Session Midi Controller

    by nodex » Tue Sep 04, 2007 10:14 am

    Hi,

Wondered if anyone could help? I have just got a Evolution X-Session and have plugged it in to my Powerbook G4, used the midi map to assign the slider and knobs and they work perfectly. The problem is when I assign a button to say the contrast effect button, or any other button for that matter, and use the midi controller to activate it, it will turn it on but not off again. Is there anyway round this?? If not can anyone recomend a midi controller that would turn effects on AND off.

Hope this isn't to stupid a question,

    Cheers

I am not familiar with the x-session in particular, but most midi controllers have a number of parameters that you can change for each button/knob etc. In this case you'l l have to change the button setting to toggle on. Read the documentation of your x-session to find out how to do this.

    Cheers.

    go to
    http://www.evolution-i.net/
and download the enigma software, it is by far the easiest way to customise your x-session. A word of advice, be patient with midi, it does have a tendency to piss people off!
