I´ve just switched to the new beta of Moudl8 and I have problems when rendering logical recordings. Modul8 renders a completely black output. I´ve done different tests with several recordings, codecs, time ranges within a recording, etcetera; all of them with negative result. I can fforward the recording with the timeline ant it seems to be ok, but render doesn´t work at all.


I´m on a Macbook Pro 15" 2.4ghz 2gb ram.

Altough I never posted here on this topic,with the previous versions I have been having some problems with logical record too... It seemed like Modul8 wasn´t able to manage the changes in layers and parameteres at time to appear in the render, and I obtained some missing and delayed layers. Trying to leave the timeline in the starting position of the render and rendering only some ranges of the recording, I managed to do the thing most of the times, altough it was such a waste of time. Also, it didn´t recognize the changes of media clips done in the Mask(Global) module during the recording, so I couldn´t use this with different clips in the same recording. I perceived speed changes too in the rendered videos.

hey folks.

i think i'm making a fundamental mistake which isn't too hard to fix but i just don't get it done:

i'm trying to use the "logical record" function on a setup that's supposed to run on 4 external HDTVs. I've tried different codecs (prores, foto-jpeg, animation) always with the resolution 5120x720 (4x 1280x720 for the 4 TVs). There's not really a problem with the different layers (as often mentioned by other poor guys) but the material is not at all scaled or has anything to do with the 4 output windows... it's just the source-resolution in the middle of the recorded videofile.

what do i have to do to get modul8 to just record the stuff that's shown on the output-screens and stitch it together as one 5120x720 file?

should be possible, shouldn't it?

Okay now i also got problems with a completely black output or missing layers... gdmnit.
