    unfortunatly i think what you are trying to do is impossible, the V4 has only one video output view maybe with 3 V4 using a midi sync could be possible but you'll also have to use VGA boxes to transform vga signals from the TH2GO to V4 video mixers.
    a cheaper solution is to iuse a vga matrix to switch from a computer to another and keep on working widescreen comps with a matrox TH2GO

    hum a V4 can only outpu a 4:3 ratio video
    the TH2GO works has an external graphic card it needs to communicate with the comptuer do create a 8:1 display.
    what you are trying to do (with this scheme) is impossible

    I have done this with a Dual Head....
    But you need to add a few more things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You need a V4 for each output.

    I had to get another V4 for the 2nd output of the dual head.
    Along with getting VGA ->S-Video convertors (two of them)

    The signal then ends up as S-Video on one V4 -> projector 1
    And S-Video#2 on 2nd V4 -> projector 2

    it was easy to set up in modul8.
    bit of more of a pain to buy all the gear.

    But looks great.

    It allowed me to mix in 2 x DVJ-X1 over top of the 8/3 output I was creating
    from modul8.

    you bought 4 V4 ?damn!! it's a pin in the ass. hehe there's now acheaper solution to mix one 4:3 video onto a 8:1 video: a Vixid VJx16-4. this video mixer has 4x4 inputs and 3 outputs and has many blend modes and a audio sound analyzer and many other stuff . it costs 2500 (VAT not included). http://www.vixid.com/index.php?lang=en
    i've go one and i think it's worth it with Modul8. i'm looking forward a next version with dvi/input/outputs hehe

    I'm sorry but you cannot use a DVI to S-video adaptator like a scan converter...
    DVI : digital video interface
    S-video : analogique Y/C video PAL or NTSC
    Composite : analogique video PAL or NTSC

    There is 2 DVI connectors DVI-I and DVI-D

    DVI-I (interlaced) this can tranport both signal digital and analogique
    DVI-D this can transport only digital signal

    THe best way for me is:

    Connect your V4 to a video card or firewire convert plug on your mac with M8 and use the tri head with M8. It works well !

    don't you have a huge delay because of the video card? I tried live capture with a cheap video card today and I had between 1 and 3 seonds of delay....
    But your solution looks good, too bad it's still analog quality...

    Just one thing : dvi-i signal transports dvi-d, vga, s-video and composite signals. So you can use an adaptor to choose only one of the four output signals, on a MacBook Pro for example. As input, dvi-i connector accepts all these signals, while dvi-d connector accepts only dvi-d ("digital") signal, on a beamer for example.
    dvi-i means "digital visual interface - integrated".

    On a MacBook Pro you can buy a DVI->VGA adapater (or it might even come with it)....
    then you can get a VGA->S-Video convertor....

    so it is possible.
    You might be talking about the card on the towers.
    Which I remember running into this where the DVI->VGA adapter would
    only work on one of the ports.

    Why buy two converters when you can get a DVI - Svid/Composite converter?

    Well the main reason for this is the BOX that goes inbetween it all.....
    (See the above descriptions)

    In order to get DUAL or TRIPLE screen outputs on a MacBook pro.
    You need to use the Matrox Dual (or Triple Head) convertor box.
    And it is only a VGA input on it.

    So I have to go:

    MacBook DVI->VGA output

    VGA output -> Matrox Dual Head Box

    Matrox Dual Head Box VGA1 -> VGA/S-Video convertor box#1
    VGA2 -> VGA/S-Video covertor box#2

    VGA/S-Video convertor box#1-> V4 #1
    VGA/S-Video convertor box#2-> V4#2

    V4#1 -> Projector#1
    V4#2 -> Projector#2

    while it is possible to go VGA from the Matrox box direct to the
    projectors......I want to add even more layers with the V4 by
    adding to DVJ-X1's signal with Modul8. So that's why the multibox
    setup.....I'd love to do it some other easier way.....but it doesn't exist.
    Unless someone can point me in other methods.
