Rendering to Logical Record - Another Issue

I'm on a macbook pro, running leopard with all recent upgrades to OS X & QT;. 3 gb ram, 2.16 GHz, core 2 duo.I'm saving to Apple Annimation, 720 x 486 High Qualithy Spatial & Time Compression.
Issue. i've recorded 33,000 frames. First attempt at Render to Logical Record failed about 1/2 through the process. Then I chose Start Time from 0 to 750 of approx 1500 secs.That worked well.
Then I tried to render from 700 seconds to 1500, rendering begins, then about 4,500 frames out of 18000, M8 crashes.
I've re-booted several times.This is frustrating. Thanks.
