Recently I've been getting the 3rd layer to do this weird thing with the scale everytime I open a project, any clues. I've got a feeling that it might be module related.

have you tried Modul 2.5.5 beta 3 ?

It is doing this on a particular project or on all project ?

Perhaps your project file has been corrupted by some Module ? Could you send me your .md8 file (davidg at garagecube dot com) ?
