I have a BCR 2000 that works fine on the G4 powerbook, but nothing happens when I hook it up to the MBP. it just fails to see it.

    any ideas??

have you tried both USB ports on the MBP?
I know there are issues with one of them.

    Hey Deepvis,
I also have a BCR2000 and was initially having some trouble getting my new MacPro to see it. Turns out I was plugged into a USB hub and when I went directly into the USB port on the machine it recognized it. If you haven't already give that a try.

I have had a similar problem with my Trigger Finger. For some reason it only works if I plug it into the USB port on the right side of my MBP. My only guess is that the port on the right is powered and the one on the left is not evidenced by the fact that when I plug in my little USB powered hard drives they only work on the right side of the MBP.
