    live input through quartz

    by bAjA » Tue May 27, 2008 6:06 pm

i have read that others have used quartz files as live inputs - but so far my tests just crash modul8...

    i'm using a >
    daystar usb capture -
    mod 2.5.4
    quartz 3

i have the kineme safe video patch installed

and exporting as quicktime - to then import into modul8

my exported comps work fine if i open them in a quicktime player.

    any help much appreciated.. bAjA

    hello.
    i've made some test with quartz composer and M8 a bit of time ago;
    and it worked fine;-)

i have the macam pilot installed and i use only the native "Video Input"(Generator) (and of course a "sprite" or a billboard" (Renderer)

i didn't hear about kineme safe video input...

try it with the native "Video Input" (as i did)
you can directly inpport .qtz docs in M8, it works just so fine 8)

thanks - i hadn't tried importing as a quartz file, as i had had issues with animated quartz files restarting every 30 seconds.. as this was the length modul8 applied to them.. but this is not an issue with live inputs..

in short they work - and i'm having fun making delay effects using queue in quartz...

    cheers
