    Firewire Stream?

    by slumber » Mon Apr 25, 2005 11:01 pm

Is there a way to stream your output thorugh firewire to a converter box?
This would be ideal for Mac Mini, as it does not have a dual monitor capabilities. If not, think it could be a feature on the next version?
I';, pretty sure that any application using the quicktime architecture has the potential capability to export a DV stream through firewire aka SimpleVideoOutX, but this app is only a simple DV player.
Any thoughts on how to stream DV through Firewire with Modul8?

Currently it is not supported. However yes it is possible and we may add this feature to a future version. Now streaming DV through firewire is a lot more CPU intensive than a regular VGA output.
