I am creating a new user just for VJ'ing and am experiencing some strange behaviour w/Modul8. The program launched, and asked me for my serial#, which I entered and it recognized, but now when I launch Modul8 - all it will show me is the splash screen - and nothing else. I wait but no program screen shows. The splash screen floats on top of everything so I have to move the 'quit' and 'clear this project' dialogs to dismiss them. When I switch back to my normal user, the program behaves properly.

PBG4 1.25 AlBook, X.3.4, 512MB RAM, QT6.5 anything else you need to know?

I'll check that. Maybe a permissions problem...

Ok, I found the problem !
Well I will fix it for the next minor release.

For the moment you can make a new copy of modul8 in your home user and it works.

My experience with multiple user.

New account made on the machine were licensed copy of M8 was installed.

launch app from applications menu - asks for serial

M8 rejects serial

Anyone else have this problem?

Hi,

It seems to be broken again. I tried launching both the normal program and the copy but both give me just the splash screen when I am using my other (streamlined) account.

any other suggestions for a workaround?

Hmmm... Try to remove the application and reinstall it from the archive.

Let me know if it still does not work.

It's cleary a permission problem.
