i have been running into an issue when i create a new project without external displays attached. i'll create the project, add media, do all the fun stuff, and everything works great. then i'll save it, quit, and go about my day. later on when i open the project, if there is an external display attached, the preview pane is solid yellow for all views. what is coming out of the projector looks as it should, but, i feel crippled using modul8 without being able to see the preview pane!

is there a way to deal with this?

i'm on 3.1.6/mojave, however i had noticed this before on earlier versions. i just wasnt sure what was causing it.

Do you mean the main preview window is yellow, or each individual output window is?

sorry, unsure of the terminology, but, its just the preview panel inside modul8. the projector output is just fine. i've tossed together a quick photoshop version of what i'm seeing. i could screen cap the actual thing tonight when i get to the venue, but, i'm in a van right now.

also, in the above example, "layer" is selected, but, this behaviour is on any of the previews.

I have this same issue. Was this resolved? I am using Catalina. On both the Macbook Pro and Mac Pro.
