Hi,

If anyone has worked out a way to stop their external hard drive going to sleep I would love to hear how. I have tried using SpindownHD from the CHUD tools from Apple but can't seem to make it do anything, the external drive appears in the ap but changing the 'disks sleep after ?? minutes idle' seems to have no effect. If anyone has any success with this please let me know. I have tried unchecking the 'Put disks to sleep when possible' in power saver.

I have a Powerbook G4 and a 250GB Lacie external drive. Running OSX 10.4.11

Cheers

Hi, thanks for the reply. Have already tried this option in preferences but all it will do is keep my internal disk running and not the external. :?
