    BCF2000 problem saving settings

    by betsykopmar » Sat Jul 19, 2008 2:32 am

    Hi

I'm having major trouble saving my settings on the BCF2000 - ie. when I do Edit Midi Map, the program and controller communicate fine, and I'm able to work with the controller. but when I exit M8, or turn OFF the controller, I lose the settings.
I've tried every (well, many) combinations of Learn Edit, Store, Exit in an effort to lock the settings into the controller but am not getting anything to work. I know many of you are happy with this controller, so would love some guidance - I've totally struck out with the instructions.

I'm using M82.5.5, Intel mac, with the USB connected to main computer.

    Thanks for your help.

Are you using the "save midi map as default" option after you have configured your bcf?

    thanks for your reply, Gregg

I was away from the computer that had M8, so couldn't check your method. but it saves now - had been using a different controller which didn't need that setting.

    Take care,
    Betsy

All controllers need that setting if you want to use the same midi settings for all md8 documents!

You have to be on edit midi map mode to be able to save the current map as default.
Also check on your md8 preferences if you have midi as document specific or default.
