Rendering Logical Record does't work with automated layers

Hi there,

I have the following problem...
I've done a Logical Record using 15 layers. There are a couple of layers which I automated (recorded some scalings and rotations) before. If I start them during my record everything seems to work quite well but when I'd like to render my logical record to disc the automated layers won't move. They just appear but that's about it. I also can't start them during rendering. They just won't move. If I play mz logical record back, not render!, they'll move. What's wrong? Is there a workaround to solve that kind of problem?

I'm using a MacBookPro and M8 2.5

Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
mono

Did you try running the playback of the layers before starting the render?

Thanks for the fast response!
Yeah, I tried that. But it didn't work. I can't hit the play button of the layer. I mean it won't start the animation. I also tried to focus on that problem. Everything seems to work well if I only have the animated layers rendered. At least with one of them. If I add more layers to the composition it won't work. It will start the animation but stop it after a couple of seconds while running the other layers during the rendering.
Easy playing back the recorded logical record will play all the animations. But during the rendering it won't.
I rendered the layers, keyed the background with AfterFX and reimported the animation as a .mov. But that's defenitely not a comfortable workaround...

Maybe there is another way??

Thanks so far,
mono

EDIT:

I think the animation is playing until the layer with the animation on it gets deselected. if i change the layer it won't play.

Hi there,
I'm having this same problem - when I'm recording my logical record everything works fine with layer automation, but when I render to disk only the active/highlighted layer retains the automation.
Any ideas? Would capture to disk work better?
Thanks

Hi JW,

I don't know. I tried to capture to disk but my MacBook Pro isn't able to do it. It won't play smooth, so I can't tell. But I reported that problem and they're trying to solve that problem. I'll let you know if there is an answer.

Cheers,
