Saving project problems.

At the last show I experienced serious problems with saved projects. Namely I had clips set up to play just once and I needed to switch between projects. When I opened the project clips were back on loop play. I had to set them again for all 10 layers so this screwed up my planned flow big time.
And I do not want to go into saving MIDI maps. This is SOOO confusing. You never know if you maps will work when you run the project or not. I do everything there is to do to save correctly, but still.
Midi implementation in Modul8 has been very easy and useful, but I think it needs a good overhaul. It is at least for me extremely important part in M8 and I need it to work. It feels like MIDI support is not important any more and is ignored with OSC coming and so on. For me MIDI is still reliable and simple way to use analog signals in M8.
On a different subject I experienced other problems last night as well. I used test card to set up projector and couple of times at random my clip was replaced with test card. I was very near to sound system and there was a lot of vibration through wood floor as well. Have any of you experience this before?

Hello Vanakaru,

If you are having trouble saving your project files please try to disable all of your modules and see if the problems recurs.

1. how do we know what MIDI device M8 is receiving and how could we choose one from multiple connected devices.
2. however I save midi map (as default) it does not work every time. sometimes there is no mapping at all, sometimes map is there but does not react. rescan devices does not do the trick.
3. we do need project based MIDI maps saved. could it be done by modules?
thanks!

You can test the midi with the printdirect event Modul8.
Actually modul8 receive all the device connected.
Chose only one is not possible, but will be on the next major update.
