White outline

Any ideas on why I get this white outline when this image is blurred?

I can clearly see some light coloured pixels around the edge of your original image.

That's right. Those white pixels are not in the original image however. They seem to be added by Modul8. (To be precise: Modul8 seems to give any pixel that is not totally transparent a white background. The circle in the original image is slightly blurred on the edges, giving it an outline of semi transparent pixels, which Modul8 then renders whitish.)
The workaround in this case, in order to get rid of the white pixels on my black background, was to invert the image in Photoshop and then invert it again in Modul8. That makes the unwelcome outline black instead. But I get no real pixel transparency.

what image format are you using?

Hello haakonf,
could you give us your image or a link where we could download ?
Which blur filter are you using ? Which version of Modul8 with which video configuration (video card model, number of screens, ...) ?

I think your alpha channel doesn't fit your image, this is a well known issue with alpha channel... If the alpha antialiasing crosses the image antialiasing you will have this border...

having the same problem here. i made a simple mask in photoshop.
a recangual mask. the file has the exact size of my output.
in my case 1024x768. i tryed different formats psd, png, with and without an alpha channel.
i always have a white 1 pixel border in my output.
the strange thing is, if i scale the output in desktop mode,
the white border disappears in some settings.
any workarounds for me out there ?
will this bug fixed in version 2.6 ?

I always use After Effects to create my alpha channeled still images.
To avoid the white line set the background color of your After Effects comp to the color that is at the edge of your foreground image.
