    Black Magic NTENSITY PRO Real Time? or NOT?

    hello.. im looking to install a BLACK MAGIC's INTENSITY PRO card into a mac pro 2.8 x 8 and 6g ram

    i would like to know if im gonna have REAL TIME TRANSMISSION on the video capture with the NTENSITY PRO or not , because im using video capture by FIREWIRE and i have almost 1 second of delay and for CCTV doesnt work good.

    there will always be a delay. everything in the video world has to lose at least one frame to sync with something else. even if there is little or no delay in the analog -> digital connection, you may still get a delay at the projector end.

    you'll find it a big improvement on firewire though.
    bear in mind that getting it into the computer is one thing, what you then do with it, may also cause delay.

    With some tweaking I got a really good (no delay visible) 1080i input and mix through modul8. I believe I put the slider between quality and speed half way (on a mac pro 2,66). Image was perfect an speed also. Going out to a multiscreen setup with a res of 1920x480.
