hi

i'm new to m8 v1 and still using v1 on my G4 laptop, 667khz.
it freezes very often while playing, also gets slow.
often I can't upload media to the layer after 5-7 media files are uploaded. Generally I use low-bit images - i.e. still images(gif, jpeg, pict etc) and movie files w/15 fps, photo JEPG compression.
it shouldn't cost too much to the app I guess....even if running 667 G4.

very frustrating....not able to add media files to layers and stops playing often...

any suggestions? thx

How many layers ?
How much VRam and Ram do you have in your machine ?
What is the pixel size of your still images (width/height) ?
Also how long are you movies ?

Modul8 V1.x has been used by many people even on G3 machines and they were able to obtain pretty good performance results.

How many layers ? --- 8-10 layers each

How much VRam and Ram do you have in your machine ? --- 512

What is the pixel size of your still images (width/height) ?
---sizes are vary but less than 640 x 480 pixles

Also how long are you movies ? --- vary but most of them are 10 - 30 sec in 320 x 240 pxl size, graphics or photo JPEG format

* Use 2-4 banks for media per set.
Normally V1 stops placing media to layers after uploading meida to 2nd or 3rd bank.....
