midi trigger.....button behavior

When I trigger a function like layer on/off for example....I can't get the button to stay "on" after I release the trigger....?

So I can't press the trigger, engage the layer, then move on with the layer still playing..?

Is this right?

. it's acting as expected. when the layer sees the assigned midi value > 0, it turns on. when you let the key off, it see the midi value == 0 and turns off

. you might want to create your own module (not really that hard once you get into it) and create the button that controls the layer on/off as a toggle - so when it sees an assigned midi value > 0, it changes its status to on or off (the opposite of the last state)

probably easier to do this on the controller.
just use a latch switch instead of a push button.

Yeah.... A latch... I'm using an old Oxygen8 and I don't believe it had this functionality built into the hardware.... But the latch concept I'm very familiar with from audio work...I can already see I need to make modules....but any comment on a righteous midi controller fir m8 would be appreciated....

Cheers everyone..... And thanks for the active forums/support!
