Hello I am very very new and I know the answer is already posted but I am still not clear.
Can I output with a projector and see the interface at the same time so that I can mix as I project?
Or in order to mix and project at the same time I need an extra monitor?
If I do need an extra monitor for my MacBookPro, could someone point me to some recommended options?

Yes you can !
You do not need an extra monitor, just plug in a projector, and choose full screen in the m8 output menu.
Et voilà !

If you do not get the output image on the projector ask your mac to detect displays. But do get a extra monitor to view your output while you do not projecting (at home) - any crappy one would do.
