global tempo sync problems

only been using M8 for a month but just LOVING IT
evrey day i learn/discover something new
todays problem is the global tempo dosnt seems to change
i noticed this when running the sequencer mod , that neither it, or the tempo flashing indicator seem to change when i alter the tempo
either internally or when i sync it from an external input ( ableton on 2nd laptop)
global tempo recognizes the tempo changes and display the correct external
tempo it just dosnt alter m8s playback tempo at all , and defaults to 120
i am sure its something i have or havnt done
so i turn once again to you videoyodas......
