Advanced Output: clip resolution vs full screen output

    by wobbles310 » Wed Dec 16, 2009 5:30 am

What is the relation between the clip resolution size in Advanced Output, and the full screen output? Are these two resolutions independent of each other, or does the clip resolution size of the screen somehow effect the full screen output resolution?

I read the manual dealing with this segment, and it did not mention anything regarding this possible connection.

    Thanks in advance

If you set the size of an output 'clip' to say 640 x 480 and the resolution of your output device is say 1024 x 720 (as specified in your system display settings for this device), when you enable full screen the output of the image will be 640 x 480.

If you want the output 'clip' to conform to the resolution of your output device set the size of the clip to 1024 x 720.

If your media is only 640 x 480 and your output is 1024 x 720 then the result will be that your image will be small but it can be moved around or scaled to fit the entire output.

I suggest doing what I did and taking a graphic that is 640 x 480, importing into Modul8 and seeing for yourself how this works.
