    midi keyboard problems

    by karlmarx » Mon Jan 04, 2010 12:19 pm

    hello,
I have just bought a new midi keyboard (behringer UMA 25S). I have create a profile on it(channel andeverything...) and send midi informations to my softwares.
Evrerything is OK with Resolume Avenue, but with Modul8, some things look not good. Each time I press a key, a sample start (good), but when I retire my finger from the key the sample satr again (nit good). I don't find why. Also, some keys are not responding on Modul8 (each left key of the groups of two black keys).
I remember that years ago I had some kind of trouble like this with a novation midi controller... But now, I see that evrything is OK on other soft. So, does any body has a solution?

    Thank you all

Which version of Modul8 are you using (2.5.8 was losing some MIDI message with some devices) ? You should download the latest version from http://www.garagecube.com/modul8/yourspace

Then, you could use the PrintDirectEvent module to have a look at which MIDI messages Modul8 is receiving.

The problem seems to come from the configuration of your keyboard.

    Regards.
