Technically I have figured out how to do this no problem

I am looking for better performance for switching clips.
On quite a fast level (at least every beat).

something like what Akaaos VJ MIDI is doing.

Any tips?

Use modul8 with Trigger Finger or MPD24. Match the layout of the media set to the layout of the trigger pads. Vry fst.
