There's no pleasing some people
I should never have made that soft edge tut..

You would not believe how many people want it to be simple to do.
currently it isn't
get over it. Doing projections use to be really really difficult. M8 makes it easy.
you can always go buy a hippotizer if M8 isnt good enough for you - $9500 and its yours and you can have instant soft edge blends all day long.

its realy sad, that we dont have an easy way to do accurate multiprojection. the most of us do need this.
even without edgeblending, it is not possible to play out to play out high quality videofiles. (it always stutters)

there are so many basic things to do. but since years, there was only
the 2.6 update with minor feature changes ...

it looks like that modul8 will not be updated anymore.

it's a pity, in its time, it was the best mixing tool ...

i really can't believe this reply!
that video shows you exactly what to do and you complain...about what? I wonder
There is a pretty good manual for modul8 if you bother to read it but I assure you that it won't cover all the possibilities of what you can achieve with modul8. Want to know why?
Because what you can do with modul8 is infinite.

This is really weird! First time posters have such a hard opinions. You would think that they do not know much about the app. Some of them have not found even the Manual yet. If you do not get the basic it is too early to dream about soft edge blending.
Almost like someone wants to discredit this software to gain an edge on the market.

Hmm...
I seem to have no problem, you must be doing something wrong.

Hi all,

concerning Jittering on multi card, most of the time it is an OpenGL driver issue.

When we have a config to reproduce, we report the bug to Apple. For example, there was a problem with the 7300GT cards and Leopard, we reported the issue 18 months ago... Apple corrected the issue in SnowLeopard.

Some of our users are experiencing jittering with GT120 but we had no chance to reproduce.

But, in some cases, novice users have jittering because they try to read 6 movies directly from disk, or they are filling their video RAM with too much data (like 6 HD streams upload to GPU).

Modul8 does its best but cannot go beyond the hardware limits (bandwidth of your hard drive, bandwidth of the PCIe bus, size of video RAM, ...)

About support for Dual/TripleHead2Go, edge blending, DMX led mapping ... we are working on it. But in the meantime, you could use the excellent tutorial from deepvisual.

Regards.

So it's been 3 years, still no edge blending in modul8? And where is this tutorial? All I can find is a youtube video that explains what he used and links to a page with scientific formulas and charts but nothing I would really call a tutorial. More like spend the rest of your day trying to figure it out what you're supposed to be doing. :(

Sorry but a tutorial is more like step 1 do this. Step 2 do that. Not here's what I did, here's the software and mods I used, and if you have any questions skim through the comments. And no, it doesn't tell you exactly what to do, unless you're an expert on everything involved, and sorry I'm not. Though I do appreciate the video, I just wouldn't call it a tutorial.

Some people... It is true technology makes life easier, but it does not have to substitute your ability to create, investigate, experiment... M8 is for the creative, not the ready-made.
