    by fons » Thu Aug 11, 2005 8:51 pm

    hi,

cant find a way to do hard cuts between the active groups via computer keyboard; how could i map A/B cut to keys?

    thanks in advance

Click the "trans" tab at the top of the interface and set it to "off" to turn off the "fade" if its not off already. Then in key mapping you should be able to set a key to the fader. I always cut A to B with the space bar however using a key to do the fader "reveals" B when the key is down, and isn't really a true toggle. It would be nice to have the option of toggling, but I've been getting by without it.

Our style has sort of developed around this kind of cutting... we build a composition in A and then copy each layer down to B one by one, and create variations to punch in... at least thats one of our tricks ;)
