    timeline trigger?

    by filley » Thu Nov 04, 2010 1:04 am

    hi,,

i'm searching for a possibility to trigger a clip by setting que points at various points in my timeline.
until now i used the knobs next to the forward/back button in the main window with the potis of my midicontroller, but it's not as exact as i want it. i tried a lot of modules in the public libary, but these ones are just able to trigger with the clips in my mediaset.....

    can you help me?

    cheers,,

What do you mean by this? You want to trigger clips not in your media set??
Regarding the rest there's plenty of modules that do what you want - scratch one, media chopper etc

I think he wants to set accurate in/out points in clips like chapter markers

best way to do that is an external editor - just cut it into lots of small clips.

    yes,, deepvisual is right.
in the normal way, i can change the in and out point of my clip, but often that's not enough, when i want to 'play' with it.

and it's to laborious, to have 5 layers with the same clip, but with another excerpt each.

As I said there are several modules that do just that.
Media chopper has fixed trigger points but movie scratch (layer) has 3 customisable trigger points.
