hi guys.

im putting together a live show with modul8 v2 and im having problems with triggering clips via midi..

basicly i have the triggers set to the transparancy of a layer and so they come on and off for the duration the pad is held..

i have certain pads set to change the layer banks (1-8 above the layers) via midi also

the problem i have is sometimes the layer bank changes itself when im playing another bank..say im playing the first bank,then itll randomly jump to say bank 5

i read in another thread that midi channels 1-10 are relate to those layers,so have avoided using them but having the same problem still..

will deleteing the prefrences help?how do i do this?

the computer is a powerbook g4,the controller is akai mpd 26,and im running ableton 7 also for the audio..

i have a show at the end of next week,and i really really dont want to change to another program as i really like what ive created in modul8...but if i did have to move program,what would you reccomend for a stable set up,fast midi response

I don't know where you got this from but I don't think it's true!
Regarding the other stuff check your modules and your MIDI mapping, it's an erratic behaviour. Also check Ableton isn't sending any MIDI through to modul8.

Are you running both ableton and modul8 at the same time on a G4?? Does it actually run smoothly?

where do i check the modules and mapping? im new to this..

i set up the midi triggers using midi learn,how do i see the modules midi ?

yes im running them both at once..it seems fine other than the erratic behaviour..

in not using many effects in either..

You check your midi mapping in edit midi map mode.
Just switch off all your modules and see if the problem persists

sorry to sound really really dumb,but how do i turn them off?
